The actor and director Ajay Devgn will start the year 2023 in a new role in Bholaa, his next and most difficult action movie. The Hindi adaptation of Kaithi is a one-man army story that takes place in one night and features numerous human and non-human foes. The actor unveiled the first look of Tabu, his co-star and longtime friend, on Tuesday.
Following the success of Drishyam 2, Tabu worked on another movie, Bholaa, with Ajay, in which she plays a tough cop. The Singham actor revealed the movie poster and several photos of the actor, adding the statement, "Ek khaaki. Sau shaitaan." It's interesting to note that Tabu also portrayed a tough cop in Kuttey, which was recently released last Friday.
Bholaa is Ajay and Tabu's ninth film together, following Drishyam 2 (2022), Drishyam (2015), Golmaal Again (2017), De De Pyaar (2019), Fitoor (2016), Vijaypath (1994), Haqeeqat (1995), and Thakshak (1999). Ajay returns as a director for the fourth time after U, Me, Aur Hum (2008), Shivaay (2016), and Runway 34 (2022).
The Hindi version of the popular Tamil film Kaithi is titled Bholaa. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed action thriller was released in 2019. Along with Narain and Dheena, Karthi is the leading star. It is co-produced by Tiruppur Vivek under the Vivekananda Pictures label, and it is produced by S. R. Prakashbabu, S. R. Prabhu, and S. R. Prakashbabu under the Dream Warrior Pictures label. Aamil Keeyan Khan, Ankush Singh, Sandeep Kewlani, and Shriidhar Dubey are the writers of the film. Bholaa has been extensively shot in Hyderabad, Madh Island, Kharghar, Mumbai, and Varanasi.
