Ravi Basrur, who shot to fame with the KGF franchise, has worked on several biggies this year - Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Kabzaa, Bholaa, Chatrapathi, to name a few. He’s next awaiting the release of Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, starring Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, that will be out worldwide on September 28. The film’s teaser, launched recently, opened to decent responses.
He’s working on another prestigious project in Telugu, Bhimaa, Gopichand’s next with Kannada filmmaker A Harsha, bankrolled by senior producer KK Radhamohan under Sri Sathya Sai Arts. The filming of the massy cop saga has commenced already and the first look poster generated good hype around the project. The composer has officially begun working for Bhimaa.
Confirming the news, the team wrote, “The Music Director of KGF & SALAAR, the Trendsetter @RaviBasrur joins #BHIMAA for the 1st Music Session. Anticipate some electric beats for the Massy Combo of @YoursGopichand, Director @nimmaaharsha & @SriSathyaSaiArt @KKRadhamohan.” A few stills from the sets where the composer is in conversation with the team were shared.
Gopichand, donning the khaki, is all smiles in the behind-the-scenes stills in the shoot location. This is the actor’s second project with the producer KK Radhamohan; their earlier collaboration was Pantham, which opened to decent reviews and turned out to be an above average fare at the box office. Meanwhile Bhimaa’s female lead is yet to be announced.
Bhimaa’s director A Harsha has worked on Kannada films like Seetharama Kalyana, Bhajarangi 2, Vedha, Vajrakaya, Anjani Putra with prominent stars, to name a few. Swamy J Gowda cranks the camera for Bhimaa, which will have dialogues by Ajju Mahakali and be edited by Kiran. Ramana Vanka is the production designer. Venkat and Dr Ravi Varma are the action directors.
