The Pratik Gandhi starrer Bhavai has been the talk of the town for its previous title Raavan Leela, and the following controversial dialogue in the film’s trailer. In an interview with SpotboyE.com, director Hardik Gajjar opened up about the controversies associated with the film and his experiences working on the movie.
The trailer had gone viral after a dialogue questioning the good and evil in the context of Ram and Ravan led to several debates. Though the dialogue has been omitted from the movie, he said it was just a curious and common discussion between two people. As Pratik’s character knows nothing about the role he is staging in the movie, he throws an innocent question, he added.
The film is gearing up for a theatrical release and the filmmaker is quite happy about it since he always wanted it to be on the big screen. He has already made four adaptations of Ramayana till now, and Bhavai will be the fifth. He revealed that he has read and taken inspiration from the scripture to do something professionally about it.
The film has Scam 1992 fame Pratik Gandhi playing the lead along with Kannada actress Ainditra Ray, who is making her Bollywood debut. The actors who were also present at the interview with the portal shared their excitement with the portal and said the film is special to them. Emotionally and creatively, the movie has won Pratik’s heart as he finds it fulfiling because of his previous experience in theatre. Getting to perform on the stage in the movie has made the actor go on cloud nine, as he said that is where he came from.
Meanwhile, Aindrita is all thrilled for being able to play two characters in the movie - Sita on stage and a completely naughty girl off-stage. She seems to have taken intense training and changed her whole body language for the role.
