Sai Tamhankar shared screen space with actress Bhumi Pednekar in the Netflix film Bhakshak. Here's what the actress had to say about her co-actor.

Sai Tamhankar is currently riding high on the success of her film, Bhakshak. Directed by Pulkit, the movie premiered on Netflix on February 9, 2024. Although it's only been a few days since its release, Sai has received a lot of positive reactions from the people. The actress shared screen space with Bhumi Pednekar, who is seen as a journalist Vaishali Singh in the movie. Tamhankar, on the other hand, plays the role of SSP Jasmeet Kaur.
In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Sai Tamhankar shared her experience of working with Bhumi Pednekar and Sanjay Mishra. "It was lovely working with her and Sanjay Mishra also," said Sai. The actress further mentioned a few more good things about her co-star Bhumi.
"Bhumi is very approachable. She is quite grounded. And I like her choices of films and they are amazing. Of course, Bhakshak is another feather in our cap," she added.

Continuing her conversation with us, Sai Tamhankar also revealed the kind of feedback she received after Bhakshak dropped on the OTT platform. The actress mentioned that people felt her character left an impact in the movie.
"Sometimes, people from whom you don't expect to get a reaction out of, those people have called me. Some people have gone out of their way and messaged. They have talked about my work. And some people have said that it is unbelievable that even though you come for a while, it is so impactful–it shook us. So, these are some amazing reactions that I have got and I am very happy about them," revealed Sai.
Written by Jyotsana Nath and Pulkit, Bhakshak is said to be based on the Muzaffarpur shelter case. The movie has been backed by Red Chillies Entertainment. Apart from Bhumi, Sai, and Sanjay Mishra, the star cast of this film includes Aditya Srivastava, Durgesh Kumar, Chittaranjan Tripathy, and others.
