Bhairathi Ranagal out on OTT: Here is where you can stream Shiva Rajkumar’s latest film

Bhairathi Ranagal, the recently released Kannada film starring veteran actor Shivrajkumar in the lead role, is now available on Prime Video. Directed by Narthan, the film serves as the prequel to the 2017 film Mufti.

Bhairathi Ranagal is a 2024 Kannada action thriller film helmed by filmmaker Narthan and has Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role. Apart from him, the star cast ensemble also includes Rahul Bose, Rukmini Vasanth, Devaraj, Chaya Singh, Madhu Guruswamy, Shabeer Kallarakkal and Babu Hirannaiah.

After the theatrical run, the film has made its OTT debut on Prime Video. If you have missed watching the film in theatres, you can stream it right now. It is a prequel of the 2017 film Mufti, which was also directed by Narthan in his directorial debut.

Bhairathi Ranagal reveals the backstory of the titular character played by Shiva Rajkumar, the journey he had to endure from being a responsible lawyer to the benevolent crime lord of Karnataka. The prequel opened to mixed to decent reception upon its release. OTTplay review of the film reads, “Director Narthan's prequel is strictly for those who loved Mufti's Bhairathi Ranagal and want more of that. It's not a compelling watch!”

What is Shiva Rajkumar’s next?

Shiva Rajkumar is currently undertaking medical treatment after he has been diagnosed with an undisclosed disease. He has been flying to the US for further surgeries and medical procedures. The actor is also reported to have undergone chemotherapy.

The actor was rumoured to have been part of upcoming Tamil film Thalapathy 69, starring Vijay. However, it looks like the Kannada star is not a part of the project.
