Looks like Rukmini Vasanth is stocking up on big releases as she continues to attract opportunities from all corners. The actress' current enviable lineup of theatrical releases includes films like Hemanth M. Rao's Sapta Sagaradaache Ello alongside Rakshit Shetty, Preetham Gubbi's Baandariyalli with Golden Star Ganesh and Hombale Films' Bagheera, which stars Sriimurali as the male lead. Each of these films is expected to release over the next year or so and Rukmini, in the meantime, has landed yet another big role.
According to the latest developments, team Bhairathi Ranagal has brought Rukmini Vasanth on board as the female lead or heroine of the much-awaited project. The commercial entertainer has Narthan directing it with Shiva Rajkumar playing the titular role in what is being billed as a prequel to the same duo's 2017 film Mufti.
The film, which is a home production for Shiva Rajkumar under the banner of Geetha Pictures, was recently launched through a muhurtha ceremony where the female lead, too, was discussed. Though Narthan and Shiva Rajkumar did not reveal the name of the female lead at the muhurtha event, they did divulge that they were keen on roping in an actress who would do justice to the important role. Earlier today, Geetha Pictures' official social media handles confirmed that Rukmini Vasanth is part of Bhairathi Ranagal as the heroine.
Very recently, Rukmini shared the exciting news of her maiden Tamil project being launched with a special pooja at the Kallumalai Temple of the city of Ipoh, Malaysia. The actress shared a few pictures from the ceremony and revealed that the highly sought-after Vijay Sethupathi is playing the male lead in the untitled film which is being directed by Arumuga Kumar of Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren fame.

Coming back to Bhairathi Ranagal, the film will feature the music of Ravi Basrur with Naveen Kumar. I handling cinematography. The film, which is scheduled to go on floors in June, is expected to release in 2024.
