It’s a great time to be a Nandamuri Balakrishna fan - he’s more relevant as a star than ever before, is enthusiastically signing projects with younger filmmakers and is open to experimenting with his image. After the success of Veera Simha Reddy this Sankranthi, the veteran is back with his second release in 2023 - Bhagavanth Kesari, which will hit screens worldwide on October 19.

Filmmaker Anil Ravipudi, once labelled a comedy specialist, is directing the most intense film of his career with the star. Sreeleela plays his niece in the film while Kajal Aggarwal is cast as Balakrishna’s romantic interest. The film is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under Shine Screens while hit composer S Thaman scores the music. The actioner’s shoot was wrapped up today.

Confirming the news, the director shared a glimpse of the making and wrote, “Started the memorable shoot journey of #BhagavanthKesari on December 8th,2022 and wrapped it after an intense & joyful 8 Months of shoot. Grateful to the legend himself #NandamuriBalakrishna garu and my entire team for the humongous support on the sets always. I’m sure this Dussehra is going to be a remarkable one for all of us. OCTOBER 19th, Theatres lo Kaluddham.”

Balakrishna utters a handful of catchy dialogues in the glimpse, he warns the goons with the dialogue ‘Kalisi Matladutha Anna Kadaa, Anthalone Mandini Pampaalaa... Ground floor Balisindaa Bey…’ and sports a cheeky smile while saying ‘Bro… I Don't Care’ towards the end. The first single from the film, Ganesh Anthem, released to encouraging responses recently.

Bhagavanth Kesari, during the Dasara weekend, will clash with two major releases - Ravi Teja’s pan-Indian film Tiger Nageswara Rao and Vijay-Lokesh Kanagaraj’s much-anticipated collaboration Leo (which will also release in multiple languages). Arjun Rampal makes his Telugu debut with the film (though he signed Hari Hara Veera Mallu before). Sarath Kumar plays a key role as well.
