Bhagavan Dasante Ramarajyam to stream on Amazon Prime Video

Bhagavan Dasante Ramarajyam is coming online a year after its theatrical release. Cheena Trophy, starring Dhyan Sreenivasan and Kendy Zirdo in lead roles, made its digital debut on the streaming platform last week. The three most recent Malayalam films that may be seen on Amazon Prime Video are Golam (Ranjith Sajeev), Kallanum Bhagavathiyum (Vishnu Unnikrishnan), and Paradise (Darshana Rajendran). On August 22, Kalki 2898 AD, a multilingual fantasy period drama featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Shobana, and Prabhas, became available on the platform.

All about Bhagavan Dasante Ramarajyam

The film revolves around a misunderstanding that arises among the residents of Vannathikkavu over a young man playing Lord Ram in a ballet drama that is presented during the temple festival.

This film, which debuted in theatres last year, was directed by Rasheed Parambil. It did not, however, receive much attention or draw a sizable audience. Despite having a poor theatrical run, it received praise for the relevance of the topic it covered. It discusses how minorities in our country continue to face prejudice and violence on a daily basis due to caste and identity issues. The film's cast includes T G Ravi, Akshay Radhakrishnan, Irshad Ali, Niyas Backer, Varun Dhara, Prasanth Murali, and Manikandan.

Renowned dramatist Kunji Raman of Vannathikaavu village passes away unexpectedly. At a certain juncture in the narrative, his disciple Bhagavan Dasan must reorganise his theatre group and accept the task of performing the play "Bhagavan Dasante Ramarajyam." Sumesh, the son of Kunji Raman, disagrees with the play because he thinks Bhagavan Dasan and his group are nuisances. However, Sumesh is known to be a womaniser and casteist in the village. The main plot point of the film is how Bhagavan Das will overcome the challenges in order to showcase the drama.
