Jithin Raj’s Pallotty '90s Kids impressed the jury of the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards, picking up awards for the Best Children's Film, Best Child Artist and even Best Singer. Despite the state award win, there was not much buzz for the movie. The heartwarming movie follows two schoolboys growing up in the 90s Kerala. Davinchi Santhosh and Neeraj Krishna played the young kids, while Balu Varghese and Arjun Ashokan essayed their older versions.

2024 turned out to be a standout year for Asif Ali after the success of his Kishkindha Kaandam. But he was also part of another thrilling film Level Cross, which also starred Amala Paul, and Sharafudheen. The film revolves around railway gatekeeper Raghu and the events that follow after he meets Chaithali. Fans of slow-burn psychological thrillers should definitely check out this film which is powered by Amala Paul and Asif Ali’s performances.

Saiju Kurup effortlessly slips into the affable character of Sashidharan, a youth trying desperately to keep a family secret within their house even as certain people poke their noses into the family’s affairs. Saikumar, Kalaranjini, Sreeja Ravi and Abhiram Radhakrishnan join in to make this film a memorable ride.

Middle-aged Shyju Bhakthan gets married to Sajitha only to face questions about starting a family from 'well-wishers'. Giving into the societal and family pressure, the couple seek medical help. Anand Madhusoodhanan and Chinnu Chandhni play the lead roles in this film which tracks the couple’s journey.

Set in the 1980s, the film follows constable Vasudevan, who takes charge at a remote station along the border of Kerala and Karnataka. His very first case is that of a landlord's murder which takes rather unexpected and dubious turns. Lukman Avaran essays the role of the meek police constable, while Chemban Vinod also plays a key role in the film which made a quiet entry at the cinemas earlier this year.

Vishnu Narayan's film takes us to an affluent residential colony in a Kerala city, whose (male) residents particularly get ‘uneasy’ after the arrival of Sukumaran Unni and his family. That Unni freely interacts with the women of the colony is a talking point and concern among the men. Suraj Venjaramoodu plays the volatile Ajith while Biju Menon is the charming Unni. Lijomol Jose too appears in a key role in the film that takes a deep look at male insecurities and toxic relationships.

Isaac John, the managing director of a corporate office, is found dead in his company’s restroom. ASP Sandeep Krishnan is assigned the case, claimed to be an accidental death, but the young cop suspects it to be a murder.
