Radhika Sarathkumar appeared in the role of Chinnarasu’s mother Latha, while Devayani appeared in the role of his educated wife Nandini, who prepares for civil service exams.

This blockbuster film still remains popular, thanks to the iconic soundtrack composed by AR Rahman.

Poovellam Kettuppar revolves around the love story of Krishna and Janaki, the children of former best friends Bharathi and Kannan, the famous music composers who turn archrivals after a major misunderstanding.
