It focuses on a murder that takes place in Mumbai’s middle-class housing society named Sunflower. The second season of the series premiered on March 1, 2024, with Adah Sharma being the new entrant to the cast.

Mithya

Director Rohan Sippy's Mithya, a psychological thriller set in Darjeeling’s St. Paul’s school, is adapted from the British TV series Cheat! A virtuous Hindi literature professor Juhi Adhikari (Huma Qureshi) accuses her student Rhea Rajguru (Avantika Dassani) of plagiarising her literature essay. Being the daughter of a rich college benefactor, Rhea takes this personally and goes on a violent and vengeful trip, destroying everything in her way. The rest of the story is what happens when an impulsive and preoccupied Rhea completely upends Juhi's world. The screenplay is made more beautiful by Darjeeling's scenic magnificence, which includes rain, dark skies, and the lushness of the Himalayan mountains. Furthermore, the background music composed by George Joseph and Ripul Sharma works nicely with the story.

TVF Pitchers

Ever faced the dilemma of starting your own business only to realise that your startup isn’t really taking off and a full-time job was better? If that’s the case, TVF Pitchers by The Viral Fever is one of the best Hindi web series to watch on ZEE5. Four friends - Jitendra 'Jitu' Maheshwari (Jitendra Kumar), Saurabh Mandal (Abhay Mahajan), Yogendra 'Yogi' Kumar (Arunabh Kumar), and Naveen Bansal (Naveen Kasturia) - have a start-up company. Both the writing and the small on-screen details, such as Jitu marking his cigarettes with the days of the week, Naveen and his girlfriend Shreya (Maanvi Gagroo) exchanging knowing looks, and Gary (Rajesh Sharma), a would-be investor, spinning his car keys around his index finger while telling the boys a Mahabharata analogy, add to the realism.

Mukhbir – The Story of a Spy

Mukhbir’s story revolves around a spy (Zain Khan Durrani) who helps India defeat multiple aggressive enemy assaults in the 1965 war against China. He did this by offering intelligence support and helping India respond appropriately to Pakistan's Operation Gibraltar and Operation Grand Slam manoeuvres. The engaging spy drama shows how spies often put their lives on the line for the safety and security of their country. The series does a good job at recreating the mid-1960s, when communication was a challenge, making it even harder to survive in enemy territory. Realistic production design and art direction help bring the story to life.

Jeet Ki Zid

This series is based on the true story of Special Forces Officer Major Deependra Singh Sengar (played by Ajay Sadh) who was paralysed waist down during the Kargil War and overcame it with his steadfast attitude. Jeet Ki Zid depicts the protagonist's journey through three distinct tenures: when he joins the Special Forces Training Centre in 1996, when he is sent to Jammu & Kashmir (1999), and when he loses his older brother Rajat to a terrorist strike in 1987. A story of conviction, tenacity, and dedication, the series shows real-life couple Major Deependra and his wife Jaya discuss their personal experiences at the end of every episode, adding more credibility to the show.

Rangbaaz

Set in the Hindi heartland of Gorakhpur, Rangbaaz takes inspiration from gangster Prakash Shukla’s life (played by Saqib Saleem as Shiv Prakash Shukla), a notorious criminal during the 1990s. Shiv’s journey from being a student at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University to becoming India's second most-wanted criminal is depicted in the series. Other figures from his life are Chandra Bhan Singh, who was influenced by Suraj Bhan Singh (a former MP from Mokama, Bihar), and Ram Shankar Tiwari, who was modelled after Hari Shankar Tiwari (former member of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly).

The Aam Aadmi Family

The protagonists of The Aam Aadmi Family belong to a middle-class family: Sharma ji as the father (Brijendra Kala); Bobby (Chandan Anand) as the mischievous son; Madhu (Lubna Salim) as the mother; and Sonu (Gunjan Malhotra) as their daughter and the family's darling. Kamlesh Gill is Daadi, the grandma. All the characters discuss and share their daily conversations and never-ending hilarious struggles in a relatable manner. The endearing comedy drama directed by Apoorv Singh Karki debuted on YouTube and got a whopping 10 million views. The fourth season was launched on ZEE5. The other three seasons can also be watched there.

Duranga

Adapted from the Korean drama Flower of Evil, Duranga stars Amit Sadh, Drashti Dhami, Gulshan Devaiah, Divya Seth, and Rajesh Khattar. It is a gripping crime drama with a heady mix of mental agony, hidden motives and murder. Helmed by Gulshan Devaiah who shines in his role as Sammit Patel, a dedicated husband, father and a great cook, the story of Duranga centes around Gulshan’s character who is a psychopath with a hidden, dark past who is currently enjoying the bliss of marriage and fatherhood. He is constantly trying to hide his true identity. However, the twist in the tale arises when his wife, a Mumbai crime branch officer (Drashti Dhami), discovers that the criminal she’s been on the hunt for involves her husband of 11 years. The primary source of conflict in Duranga, which translates to dual-hued, is Sammit Patel's desire to escape his difficult past while simultaneously keeping his wife from discovering his secret.

Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt. Ltd.

Starring Amruta Subhash as Suman (the bahu) and Yamini Das (the saas) along with Anup Soni and Anjana Sukhani, this web series by TVF is set in Old Delhi’s iconic Daryaganj. As the name suggests, the show is about a daughter-in-law and her former mother-in-law who try to run a pickle business to get her children’s custody back from her ex-husband, Dillip, aka Anup Soni. The former mother-in-law proves to be a huge pillar of support during challenging times.

TVF Tripling

Another popular Hindi web series by TVF, Tripling follows three siblings – Chandan Sharma (Sumeet Vyas), Chanchal Sharma (Maanvi Gagroo) and Chitvan Sharma (Amol Parashar) – who embark on a comical quest to discover who they are and how they are related to each other.
