The movie has been grabbing rave reviews from netizens who are overwhelmed with the fine narrative and the great performances by the cast. Berlin has been making waves on social media for its gripping story and ensemble cast. Several users have shared their reviews and reactions after watching the movie. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one user called the movie ‘unique’ and showered praise on the cast performances. Another dubbed it a well-executed slow-burn thriller. “Liked how the Brutalist part of Daalyy is captured in the movie. Aparshakti and Ishwak are superb, and quite enjoyed Deepak Qazir's part in the movie,” an X user dropped his review.
Another user called it a captivating drama that will keep audiences hooked till the end. Praising Rahul Bose and Aparshakti Khurana, a social media user said that it was expected from the duo to give a stellar performance but it was Ishwak who was a surprise package. “IshwakSingh was a surprise package. I was bowled by his flawless & impactful acting,” the post shared.

Berlin is a spy-thriller that revolves around a web of lies, deceit, and secrets. The story follows a deaf and mute man, Ashok (played by Ishwak), who is accused of being a foreign spy. Things take a turn when a sign language teacher Pushkin (Aparshakti) is assigned the case and the government relies on him for unraveling the secrets. Rahul Bose plays a government official named Jagdish Sondhi.
The supporting cast also features Kabir Bedi, and Anupriya Goenka in significant roles.
Backed by Zee Studios and Yippie Ki Yay Motion Pictures, Berlin was screened last year at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival and other notable film events. Now, the thriller has finally dropped on ZEE5 with a direct-to-OTT release. It is also available on OTTplay Premium.
