This one has been a good year for the Bengal’s OTT audience. Several shows, including Indubala Bhaater Hotel, Abar Proloy, and most definitely, Chhotolok kept us entertained. Now is the time for a brand new year and some freshly brewed shows. Many shows have already been announced and some are still to be revealed. From Debashree Roy’s debut on OTT to recreating a classic, Adarsha Hindu Hotel – there are lots in store. Besides, there are fresh seasons of Indu, Gora, et al. Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo
Will stream on Hoichoi
With JBSB, Mimi Chakraborty will step into the world of OTT. Directed by Chandrasish Roy, the web series is based on a real-life incident that took place on New Year's Eve of 2007. The actress is set to play a lawyer second time after Dhananjoy. She fights a case for justice and famous lawyer Joyraj Singha, played by Tota Roy Chowdhury, fights against her.
Knatay Knatay
Will stream on Zee5
Based on Narayan Sanyal’s Knata series, this show was a part of last year’s slate announcement of Zee5. Directed by Joydeep Mukherjee, this series has a stellar star cast with Saswata Chatterjee, Ananya Chatterjee, Soham Chakraborty, Paayel Sarkar, Mir, and others.
Lahu
Will stream on Chorki
Several web series from Bangladeshi OTT platform Chorki have gained popularity in India. Now, the platform has started its operation in India. In their production, Indian actress Sohini Sarkar paired up with Bangladesh actor Arifin Shuvoo in an action thriller Lahu, directed by Rahool Mukherjee. It will be interesting to see if this web series gets audience love like Chorki’s other series.
Chemistry Mashi

This time it is the debut of Debashree Roy on OTT. She plays the character of a vlogger who teaches chemistry to her young audience through videos of cooking. Directed by Sourav Chakraborty, the show also features Ritwika Pal.
Unishey April
Will stream on Fridaay
It has already been reported that Camellia Productions will soon bring their own OTT platform, Fridaay. Several projects are shot. Director Arindam Sil has completed a number of web series. His thriller, Unishey April, is based on the infamous murder in 1976 in Kolkata. It was a high-profile case in which several important people were dragged into. In the web series, Arunima Ghosh will play one of the key characters. It will be intriguing to watch how the director brings the real events and characters on the screen.
Cabaret
Will stream on Addatimes
Directed by Utsav Mukherjee, Cabaret is said to be a series on the tradition of cabaret in the pubs of Central Kolkata. The show will feature Puja Banerjee in the lead. On the other hand, it will also feature Satyam Bhattacharya as one of the key characters.
Pashbalish
Will stream on Zee5
Directed by Korok Murmu, the show features Ishaa Saha, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, Sourav Das, Rishi Koushik, and others. It is billed as a thriller and was shot in interior parts of North Bengal. According to sources, the show has some surprising elements for its viewers.
Adarsha Hindu Hotel

Based on the iconic novel by Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay, the Arindam Sil directorial will feature Mosharraf Karim, Ananya Chatterjee, and Ushasi Ray. Adarsha Hindu Hotel has been adapted on screens several times. In 1957, Ardhendu Sen made a film with Chhabi Biswas, Dhiraj Bhattacharya, Sabitri Chatterjee, Jahar Ganguly, and others. Years later, legendary actor Manoj Mitra played Hajari Thakur in Raja Sen’s television adaptation of the novel for Doordarshan. It will be interesting to watch the new adaptation of the novel.
Bhuswargo Bhoyonkor

Satyajit Ray’s Feluda story Bhuswargo Bhoyonkor was part of the slate announcement of Hoichoi last year as the second season of Srijit Mukherji’s Feludar Goyendagiri. However, the project did not shape up last year and this year, it was not even on their slate announcement. However, as per a source close to the channel, this year, Srijit and his team may travel to Kashmir to shoot the series. Feluda is always an interesting point for the Bengali audience and we will eagerly wait for Tota Roy Chowdhury to be back as our beloved sleuth.
