Malayalam actor Dileep’s Voice of Sathyanathan , which once again has him doing what he knows best – comedy, is set to begin streaming on Manorama Max on September 21. The movie, which also has Anupam Kher, Joju George, Veena Nandakumar and Johny Antony, is a comedy drama, but the humour elements stand out.

If you are waiting for the Raffi directorial to stream, why not watch these five Malayalam comedies on Manorama Max too – featuring some of the best actors in the industry today such as Basil Joseph, Fahadh Faasil, Jayaram, Meera Jasmine, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharafudheen.

Starring Basil Joseph, Saiju Kurup and Suraj Venjaramoodu, the movie revolves around a group of men who are disturbed by the fact that their mate is getting married to Chandrika, without informing any of them. Their past with Chandrika further adds to the tension and chaos that unfolds. Enkilum Chandrike, helmed by Adithyan Chandrasekhar, benefits from the brilliant comic timing of its lead characters and also its fresh setting.

Priyan Ottathilaanu

Sharafudheen proves that he is a versatile actor in this feel-good movie, which also has a cameo from megastar Mammootty. Sharafudheen plays a homeo doctor-cum-aspiring screenwriter in the film, whose everyday life is packed to the brim with tasks that make everyone else’s life easier. On a particular day, he gets a chance to pursue his own dream of narrating a script to Mammootty but will he be able to make it in time, especially after he decides to help a stranger? Nyla Usha and Aparna Das are also part of the cast.

Makal

Jayaram’s character, an NRI, decides to return home after years of being away from his daughter and wife, essayed by Devika Sanjay and Meera Jasmine. With him around, his wife decides to take up a job, prompting the father-daughter duo to spend more time with each other. The generation gap and misunderstandings soon give way to more conflicts than the two imagine, till an unexpected stranger comes into their lives.

Njan Prakashan

Like most of the youth in Kerala, Prakashan’s dream is to lead an easy and wealthy life without truly working for it. His former flame Salomi, who is set for a job in Germany, becomes his path to accomplish that. However, life has more surprises and shocks in store for Prakashan as he is forced to shed his irresponsible ways and find a purpose. Fahadh Faasil, Sreenivasan and Nikhila Vimal essay the pivotal roles in this Sathyan Anthikad directorial.

Dakini

Helmed by Kho Kho and Keedam director Rahul Riji Nair, this comedy features four senior citizens as its protagonists and revolves around finding the long-lost lover of one of them. How their paths cross that of an underworld gangster form the plot of this comedy that has Pauly Valsan, Sarasa Balussery, Savithri Sreedharan, Chemban Vinod Jose and Aju Varghese.
