Manoj Bajpayee rose to fame with his role in Ram Gopal Varma's film Satya. The actor essayed the character of Bhiku Mhatre in the film, which was released on July 3, 1998. Twenty-seven years later, the crime thriller is all set to re-release on the big screen. Filmmaker RGV confirmed the development of Satya's re-release on January 17, 2025. Before its theatrical re-release, here's where you can enjoy watching Manoj Bajapyee-starrer on OTT.

Ram Gopal Varma's gangster drama Satya starred Manoj Bajpayee, Shefali Shah, Urmila Matondkar, and JK Chakravarthy. The movie achieved cult classic status and left a lasting impact on Indian cinema. If you wish to revisit this 1998 film on OTT, you can watch it on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium. Satya, produced by RGV, is also available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. This movie was written by Anurag Kashyap and Saurabh Shukla.

The film's official synopsis (on SonyLIV) reads, "After being framed for a crime he did not commit, Satya swears to seek vengeance against those who had wronged him. In jail, he meets Bhiku Mhatre, an underworld crime boss, and decides to join his gang."

Recently, in an interview with The Lallan Top, Manoj revealed the challenges he faced during 'Mumbai Ka King Kaun' scene in Satya. The actor shared he performed the scene with the help of Anurag Kashyap.

"I remember that Anurag Kashyap was holding my feet during the close-up shot. In fact, in one of the shots, Saurabh Shukla, who is a healthy man, wrapped a black cloth on himself and held my feet, so that the long shot can be done. However, people said, ‘Kapda se zyada tu hi dikh raha hai (You are visible more than the cloth).’ It was a funny incident," recalled Manoj.
