With the comment, more of his controversial statement about his co-star Anushka Sharma and rumoured ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif are recalled. What is the lipstick controversy?

Alia Bhatt was on video when she revealed that her husband Ranbir Kapoor does not like her with lipstick. Wiping off her lipstick in front of the camera, she said that since he does not like her lipstick and prefers her natural lip colour, thus she wipes off her lipstick. The very act of wiping off her lip colour because her husband does not like it, was questioned by onlookers.

Netizens who heard the video were furious with Alia for keeping up with Ranbir. They remembered how Alia had once said that her husband does not like her loud decibel during fights and thus, after his saying, she consciously tries to lower the volume and respect the other person.

The Reddit post itself spoke about two statements Ranbir made towards Alia which have not gone down well. The biggest was calling her ‘phailoed’ when she was pregnant with their baby girl, Raha . “Someone has phailoed,” he had said during Ralia’s video. Of course, the two laughed it off but the comment was not in a good taste and has definitely not aged well.

Ranbir once took a dig at his rumoured ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. This happened when the two were promoting Jagga Jasoos. By the time, reports of their breakup started making the rounds. “You are not saying it properly. I can talk,” he had said. The same was clearly a dig at Katrina’s Hindi. Netizens have pointed out that she was ‘visibly uncomfortable’ when Ranbir passed the statement.

The worst came in Ranbir making fun of Anushka Sharma’s anxiety. “Anushka is the anxiety queen. She takes anti-anxiety pills even if she has to have a conversation because she is frantic,” he had said.
