Today is a special day for all Indians globally! On this day, Indians are immersed in the celebrations of Diwali – a festive occasion that marks the return of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, and Lord Laxman to Ayodhya from 14 years in exile. This day, as per Hindu traditions, spreads positivity into people's lives. Celebrating this day, the Indian cricket team, too, marked Diwali in a festive way ahead of its match with the Netherlands.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India today shared a video showcasing how the Indian cricket team celebrated Diwali ahead of its match with the Netherlands. Last evening, the Indian cricket team along with their respective families gathered in a Bengaluru hotel wherein they celebrated the day ‘with calories’.
Sweets and snacks were available in full swing for those present at the event. Noticeably, there were quite a few spotlight-worthy moments from the celebration. At first, everyone noticed actress Anushka Sharma’s baby bump. Next, people cherished the cute bond shared by cricketer Rohit Sharma with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, and their daughter Samaira Sharma.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, too, was all smiles as he was clicked with his wife, Rivaba Ravindrasinh Jadeja.
Senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was spotted with his wife Prithi and their two cute little daughters Akhira and Aadhya. These two children surely made the celebration enjoyable as they charmed everyone with their innocence.
Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammad Siraj were celebrating the occasion together and enjoyed their bachelorhood.
Popular Indian bowler, Mohammad Shami, who recently divorced Hasin Jahan, also celebrated the occasion with a smile on his face.
This development comes just ahead of the India Vs Netherlands match of the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
