Mammootty enjoyed box office success in the first half of 2024 with back-to-back superhits Bramayugam and Turbo. The megastar is now set to make a comeback to the silver screens with the upcoming project Bazooka, directed by newcomer Deeno Dennis. The movie, which stars popular filmmaker-turned-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon in a pivotal role, was supposed to hit the theatres in September 2024. However, as per the reports, the release of Bazooka has been slightly delayed.
Mammootty’s Bazooka postponed to October 2024?
According to the latest updates, Bazooka, which is touted to be a game thriller, might not hit the theatres in September 2024. As per the reports, the team is yet to wrap up the filming of the Mammootty starrer. The grapevine suggests that a small portion of the film, featuring Gautham Vasudev Menon is yet to be filmed. Director Deeno Dennis and his team are reportedly waiting for Gautham and Mammootty to wrap up their untitled upcoming project, to resume the shooting.
However, the makers have reportedly kickstarted the post-production works of the rest of the portions, already. The Bazooka team members are planning to wrap up the pending portions of the highly anticipated film, featuring Gautham Vasudev Menon, in a short schedule that will be wrapped up in just 2-3 days. But it is highly unlikely for the film to hit the big screens during the Onam season of 2024, as planned earlier.
Mammootty’s role in Bazooka
If the reports are to be believed, Mammootty is set to play the role of Vinod Menon, a former Military office and travel junkie, in the upcoming Deeno Dennis directorial. The movie, which is touted to be a sleek game thriller, reportedly features some high-octane action sequences featuring both the megastar, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. The Kaakha Kaakha director, on the other hand, is appearing in the role of Benjamin Joshua, in the film. A major update on the highly anticipated project is expected to be out very soon.
