Three Malayalam films - Bazooka, Alappuzha Gymkhana, and Maranamass – are set to clash at the Vishu box office this year. While Mammootty stars in Bazooka, Naslen and Basil Joseph headline Alappuzha Gymkhana and Maranamass, respectively. The three films, which have significant buzz surrounding them, will release on April 10, 2025. It remains to be seen who will emerge to be the winner at the Vishu box office 2025, but irrespective of that, fans of Malayalam films are assured an entertainment-packed festival. Mammottty-starrer Bazooka

Mammottty stars in Bazooka, which is touted to be a game thriller. Gautham Vasudev Menon also joins the Malayalam megastar in this film, which promises some slick action and thrilling moments.  Deeno Dennis, the son of Kaloor Dennis, makes his directorial debut in the film, which has a cop teaming up with an enigmatic businessman to nab a criminal. A Mammootty film is releasing for Vishu after a while and with the star cast, fans really hope that it turns out to be a blockbuster outing for the Malayalam megastar.

Naslen’s Alappuzha Gymkhana

Naslen, who shot to fame with the 2024 hit Premalu, joins hands with Unda director Khalid Rahman for this sports comedy. The light-hearted film narrates the tale of a bunch of plus-two students who decide to compete in boxing competitions to secure a college admission. The trailer of Alappuzha Gymkhana registered 5 million views, and the makers are hoping that the film will get a similar positive reception when it releases in theatres for Vishu.

Basil Joseph-led Maranamass

Basil Joseph, who proved once again that he is a versatile actor with the latest Ponman, returns with Maranamass. Going by the trendy title and the striking hairstyle of Basil Joseph, the Sivaprasad directorial is going to be an all-out entertainer. Tovino Thomas co-produces this movie, featuring a slew of talented actors, such as Rajesh Madhavan, Siju Sunny, and Suresh Krishna. Given the growing popularity of Basil Joseph, audiences would be keen to watch the star’s film in theatres this Vishu.
