Netflix is all set to turn back the clock with its upcoming roster and become host to some of the most loved animated series of recent times. Pretty soon, we will have Scooby & Shaggy, Batman & Robin, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck & the whole brigade and even Aqualad & Kid Flash will knock on our digital doors for a fun, super-amusing trip down memory lane. And those who have experienced the best of the animation of the 1990s and the 2000s would find the opportunity to relive the glory days too good to pass up.

So, what is this hype all about? Well, Netflix India will soon serve as the streaming platform for four popular animated series - Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, Batman: The Animated Series, The Looney Tunes Show and DC Universe's Young Justice. Many would know that each of these shows has received significant praise from both critics and audiences over the years and has remained a benchmark in its own respective way in modern-day TV animation.

When & where to watch Batman: The Animated Series & others on OTT

All four aforementioned shows, including the critically acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series, will premiere on Netflix on November 21, 2023, with all the seasons expected to drop at the same time. Netflix recently came to host the 2001 animated series 'Justice League' prior to which it released the 2011 Marvel animation 'Iron Man: Armoured Adventures'.

A little bit about the shows

Batman: The Animated Series, which first aired in 1992 and spanned 85 episodes till 1995, is often hailed as a groundbreaking show for its stellar writing, thematic value, voice work and so much more. The show also heralded the return of several important characters such as Harley Quinn back into the mainstream and its influence is incredibly apparent in all the live-action adaptations of The Batman that ensued.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, the eleventh reincarnation of the famous character, first aired in 2010 and spanned two seasons of 26 episodes each. Along with Scooby-Doo, the titular Great Dane and amateur detective, Fred, Velma, Daphne and Scooby's main pal, Shaggy, too, star in the series that chronicles their many escapades while solving great mysteries.

Cartoon Network's The Looney Tunes Show brought back the iconic motley packs of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Speedy Gonzales, Yosemite Sam, Lola Bunny and so many others for a supremely fun two-season animated series. The Looney Tunes Show first aired in 2012 and was concluded after two seasons that received praise for its wit, humour, visual style and other aspects.

And coming to Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman's Young Justice, the Emmy Award-winning show follows the lives of teenage superheroes - Nightwing, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Artemis - who operate slightly outside the main purview of the DC bureaucracy but are effective nevertheless. Young Justice ran for four seasons between 2010 and 2022 and has received critical acclaim.
