Bastar OTT release date - Directed by Sudipto Sen, Adah Sharma's movie, Bastar: The Naxal Story, released theatrically on March 15, 2024. Over two months after its theatrical run, the movie is now headed for a digital release on ZEE5. Today, the streaming platform shared the OTT release date of Adah's film Bastar. It has been confirmed that the film, based on the Naxalite–Maoist insurgency in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, will premiere next week, on May 17, 2024.
Bastar OTT release date is out!
ZEE5 shared the OTT premiere date of Adah Sharma-starrer Bastar on Instagram. The caption to the streaming platform's post read, "A sincere officer, and an even badass fighter. Naxalwaad ko jadd se mitane aa rahi hai IPS Neerja Madhavan. Bastar premieres 17th May, only on ZEE5. Available in Hindi and Telugu. BastarOnZEE5 (sic)."
In the film, Adah played the role of IPS officer Neerja Madhavan. In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, the actress earlier revealed her character was inspired by many people.
"The answer is both yes and no (smiles). Actually, it has been modelled around a few people who are real-life people. But, at the same time, there is no reference to just any one person specifically. We have various qualities and personality traits of different people put together in my character," she said.

Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Bastar failed to work wonders at the box office. The film got a poor response at the ticket window. Apart from Adah, the star cast of Bastar includes Indira Tiwari as Ratna, Shilpa Shukla as Neelam Nagpal, Yashpal Sharma as Utpal Trivedi, and Raima Sen as Vanya Roy among others.
