Following The Kerala Story's success, Adah Sharma reunited with filmmaker Sudipto Sen for Bastar: The Naxal Story. Unlike their previous project, the director-actress duo's new film failed to work at the box office. Bastar was released on March 15 in theatres. Two months after its theatrical release, it dropped on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. Today, the streaming platform shared a new poster of Bastar, which suggests a strong threat to the nation.
ZEE5 shared the new poster for Bastar: The Naxal Story on its official Instagram handle. Adah Sharma's film poster is about how the nation will get destroyed if Naxals aren't removed from Bastar (a district in Chattisgarh). "Bastar se maovadi khatam nahi hue toh desh khatam hojayega," the text reads. If you haven't seen the poster yet, check it out right below:
While sharing the poster on Instagram, the makers wrote: "Naxalwaad ke gadh, Bastar mein chal rahe war ka hoga aant. Bastar, inspired by true events, streaming now, only on ZEE5. Available in Hindi and Telugu. BastarOnZEE5 (sic)."

Meanwhile, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Adah Sharma opened up about playing the role of IPS Neerja Madhavan in Sudipto Sen. The actress spoke about her character's impact on her. She said, "Yes, I think it does, and as an actor, I think it should because that is your job. Because if I say it doesn't touch me at all, I am not affected by it. I'll just come to set and act a little bit and do my lines and say everything and come back home, I think then it's wrong; there will be a very plastic performance that comes out because I am just acting a little bit and coming back."
Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Bastar: The Naxal Story also features Indira Tiwari, Raima Sen, and Shilpa Shukla, among several others. Have you watched the film yet? Tweet @ottplayapp on X and let us know your thoughts. Keep following this space for more interesting updates!
