Barroz release plans: Director Mohanlal drops major updates

Mohanlal is gearing up to release his long-awaited directorial debut Barroz, after multiple delays. The movie, which is touted to be a 3D fantasy film, features the superstar himself, in the titular role. The actor-director recently took to his official social media handles and confirmed that Barroz is getting released on October 3, 2024, with a special poster. Later, in an interaction with media during the AMMA show rehearsals, Mohanlal dropped major updates on the release plans and more.

Barroz to get a pan-Indian release

Mohanlal, who addressed media at the rehearsal camp of the upcoming star show organized by AMMA, dropped a major update on the Barroz release plans. The superstar revealed that the movie is getting a massive, pan-Indian release on October 3, 2024. The actor-turned-filmmaker confirmed that Barroz is gearing up to be released in all major Indian languages. As per the reports, the highly anticipated project will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and the original Malayalam.

Barroz has come out well, says Mohanlal

The superstar, who is all excited about the release of his long-awaited directorial debut, was all smiles as he spoke about the same at the recent media interaction. Interestingly, Mohanlal stated that the movie has come out well, leaving his fans and Malayalam cinephiles equally excited. Ahead of the massive release, the actor-filmmaker and his team plan to have an elaborate promotional campaign for the film. The same began recently with the release of ‘Barroz and Voodoo’ comics, which serve as an introduction to the main characters in the film.

Barroz is based on the popular novel of the same name, penned by Jijo Punnoose. After the senior writer quit the project citing creative differences with director Mohanlal, TK Rajeev Kumar joined the team as the creative head. Santosh Sivan ISC is the director of photography. Lydian Nadhaswaram has composed the songs and original score for the 3D fantasy film. Barroz is produced by Antony Permbavoor, under the prestigious banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
