Mohanlal recently took to his official social media handles and revealed that the ‘fine-tuning’ of music and sound of his debut directorial venture Barroz, is under progress.

Barroz, the highly anticipated film which marks the directorial debut of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, has been under production for a long time. The movie, which is touted to be a 3D fantasy drama, originally started rolling in 2021. However, Barroz was delayed multiple times due to the pandemic and multiple lockdowns. Director Mohanlal and his team finally wrapped up the filming of the project last year, with an extensive Goa schedule. The post-production works of the big-budget venture are now progressing in Sony Studios Hollywood.
Mohanlal drops a major update on Barroz
Recently, the complete actor of Malayalam cinema took to his official social media handles and dropped a major update on his directorial debut, to the much excitement of his fans and followers. In the new click which is now winning the internet, Mohanlal is seen posing with the musicians and technicians, who handle the post-production works of Barroz. “Watching Barroz at Sony Studios Hollywood with Mark Kilian and Jonathan Miller for the fine-tuning of music and sound,” the superstar captioned her post.
Mohanlal to reveal Barroz trailer soon?
According to the grapevine, Mohanlal might reveal the highly anticipated official trailer of his dream project, soon after he returns to India. Mohanlal is expected to return to Kerala in a couple of weeks, after wrapping up the post-production works of Barroz, and the upcoming brief schedule of Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial, L2 Empuraan . If things go as planned, the official trailer of Barroz will be revealed at a star-studded event, which will be held mostly in Kerala. However, the makers of the project have not reacted to these reports yet.
All about Barroz
The project, which is based on Jijo Punnoose’s novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure, features Mohanlal himself in the titular role. After writer Jijo exited the project citing creative differences with the actor-director, Kalavoor Ravikumar joined the team as the additional script writer. Santhosh Sivan handles the cinematography of the project. Lydian Nadhaswaram composes the songs and original score. The highly anticipated project is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor, under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
