The highly anticipated second season of Prime Video's original series Bandish Bandits will stream on December 13, 2024, the streaming service announced today. Season two of this critically acclaimed musical drama picks up where season one left off, pitting the lead actors Radhe and Tamanna against one another in their pursuit of fame and acceptance through an inventive fusion of Indian classical music's complex ragas, talas, and bandishes with the powerful, electrifying rhythms of contemporary rock and pop. As the story progresses, we learn more about the characters' family histories and how they fit into the world. The series also shows themes of self-determination, empowerment, and the harmony between tradition and modernity emerge as the characters grow into their own identities.

Returning and new cast members join Bandish Bandits Season 2

Produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra and directed by Anand Tiwari, the Leo Media Collective Private Limited production will showcase a versatile cast featuring Ritwik Bhowmik, Shreya Chaudhry, Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Rajesh Tailang, and Kunaal Roy Kapur. It will also feature new additions Divya Dutta, Rohan Gurbaxani, Yashaswini Dayama, Aaliyah Qureshi, and Saurabh Nayyar in important roles.

Producer Amritpal Singh Bindra reflects on the success and vision of the series

Amritpal Singh Bindra, the producer of Bandish Bandits Season 2, expressed his satisfaction with the series in a statement. With season one, they aimed to authentically and captivatingly present Indian classical music, an approach uncommon in mainstream Indian entertainment. They also wanted to delve into the age-old tension between tradition and modernity, a theme that is relatable to almost everyone.

In season two, the tension between Radhe and Tamanna escalates to a dramatic crescendo, continuing from where the first season left off, but with additional challenges! Season one's overwhelming positive reception has proven that the cast, crew, and the wonderful people at Prime Video were right to invest so much hope and effort into the program. With eager anticipation, they look forward to bringing the next season to viewers in India and throughout the world on December 13.
