Bagheera: Trailer of Sriimurali’s action thriller to drop on THIS date

It’s been nearly three years since Roaring Star Sriimurali’s last release, Madhagaja, so there’s a lot of anticipation surrounding his next, Bagheera. Even more so because it is a film based on a story by KGF and Salaar maker Prashant Neel, who’d given Sriimurali’s career a boost with Ugramm earlier.

Prashant’s busy schedule with Salaar meant that he could not direct the film, so, Dr Suri took on the responsibility. The film, produced by Hombale Films, is coming to theatres on October 31, and promotions have just begun.

As a start, the team released Rudhira Dhaara – The Anthem of Justice, the first single from Bagheera, written by Aniruddh Sastry, who has also sung the B Ajaneesh Loknath composition. Netizens are lapping up the song, and showering it with praise for the lyrics and Ajaneesh’s music.

With no promotions for Bagheera, until today, there was speculation that the film’s release could be pushed ahead from October 31. But sources say that the strategy that Hombale Films has adopted is to go all out with promotions in the 2 weeks leading to the film’s theatrical release.

Up next is the trailer, which should give audiences an idea about what to expect from the film. It is expected to be released on October 21. So far, all that is known is that Sriimurali plays a cop in the film, who is also a vigilante. The assumption is that the film will explore the circumstances that push him to being a vigilante and serving justice.

Sriimurali is paired with Rukmini Vasanth in the film, which also stars Prakash Raj, Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar, among others. Bagheera is said to be quite action-packed, what with the leading man having sustained multiple injuries during the making. The actor had an ACL tear, for instance, which kept him out of action for months.Despite these challenges, the fact that they were trying to bring something unique to the screen is what kept Sriimurali going.
