After multiple postponements, Adhik Ravichandran's Bagheera, starring Prabhu Deva in the lead, is set for a theatrical release on March 3. The movie, which is billed as a thriller flick, stars half-a-dozen female leads, including Amyra Dastur, Ramya Nambeesan, Janani Iyer, Sanchita Shetty, Gayathrie Shankar and Sakshi Agarwal.
Nasser, Saikumar and Sonia Agarwal play pivotal characters in the movie which has been produced by RV Bharathan under Bharathan Pictures. Selva Kumar SK and Abinandhan Ramanujam have handled cinematography for the project which has music composed by Ganesan S. Ruben and Siva Yadav have handled editing and art direction respectively for the film which was supposed to be released last year.
The makers unveiled a sneak peek video the other day, featuring a sequence between Prabhu Deva and Ramya Nambeesan. The movie is expected to have ample adult comedy scenes, too, and according to its makers, it will be one of the highlights of Bagheera.
Raju Sundaram and Baba Baskar have choreographed dance moves; Prabhu Deva is said to have performed a one-of-its-kind dance sequence along with Amyra in a song. Needless to say, cinephiles are eager to watch their favourite star shaking his legs after a long time.
The post theatrical digital rights of Bagheera have been acquired by Sun NXT while its satellite rights have been bagged by Sun TV. The film is expected to have an OTT premiere in the last week of March or in the first week of April.
Prabhu Deva currently has half-a-dozen films in his kitty, a few of them are likely to be released in 2023, while director Adhik is busy with his pan India project Mark Antony, starring Vishal in titular role.
