It’s been a while since there’s been an update about Roaring Star Sriimurali’s next, Bagheera. The actor had earlier sustained injuries during the shoot, which kept him out of action for a while, following which there was a tragedy in the family, when has brother Vijay Raghavendra’s wife Spandana passed away. The family, though, realizes that the show must go on and while Vijay has had multiple releases since then, it is now time for Sriimurali. Fans have been hoping for an update, a first look or more, on the actor’s birthday, which falls on December 17 and the banner, Hombale Films is set to oblige. At 9.45 am on December 17, the teaser of Bagheera will be revealed.
Not much is known about the subject of Bagheera, which is a Prashant Neel story that Dr Suri, who made Lucky with Yash many years ago, is directing. Sriimurali will be seen in a rugged cop avatar and is paired with Sapta Sagaradaache Ello fame Rukmini Vasanth. While the teaser on the actor’s birthday is expected to shine light on the film, it is also being heard that the team could look at revealing the release date as well. It may also reveal if the rumours about Fahadh Faasil playing a pivotal role in the film are true or not.
Bagheera could be the next Hombale Films production in theatres after Yuva, which is currently said to be a March 28 theatrical. Srrimurali has not had a release in two years and will look at getting this show on the road as soon as possible. The actor’s Bharaate and Madhagaja did not work very well at the box office, so, there’s a lot riding on Bagheera.
Considering that Prashant’s Ugramm gave Sriimurali’s career a new lease of life in 2014, which Mufti also cemented, Bagheera is expected to be the actor’s next big film. Prashant had earlier wanted to do another film with Sriimurali, either a sequel to Ugramm called Ugramm Veeram, or a different subject altogether, but his busy schedules with Salaar and #NTR31 has not allowed the same, which is why Dr Suri was roped in to direct his script.
