Dev’s Bagha Jatin is all set to hit the theatre this Puja. Just a few days ago, the superstar of Tollywood shared the good news with fans through social media. The Arun Roy-directorial Bagha Jatin will be released on October 20. This film will be available in both Bengali and Hindi languages.

After completing the shooting of the film, Dev took to social media to share his experience of making the film. Dev wrote, “Playing one of the greatest fighters who died fighting for the freedom of our country will forever remain a highlight in my career as an actor. I will forever consider myself extremely fortunate to have had the honour to play the Great BAGHA JATIN on screen. It’s a wrap for team #BaghaJatin.”

Jatindranath Mukherjee, aka Bagha Jatin, was one of the prominent soldiers of India’s freedom movement, known for his self-respect and national consciousness. It is said that he single-handedly killed a tiger with just a knife, which is why he was called Bagha Jatin. Dev is portraying the role of such a person in the film. Arun Roy is directing the movie based on his requirements.

In 2021, Dev played the character of Nagendranath Sarbadhikari in Golondaaj. Directed by Dhrubo Banerjee, the film is a tribute to one of the leaders of Indian football who established a sporting club for Indians after fighting the British rulers. Now, he is taking on the role of a freedom fighter in Bagha Jatin, fulfilling the expectations of his fans, who are sure that he will deliver another blockbuster.
