Badtameez Dil actor Ridhi Dogra says Shah Rukh Khan called her ‘Dilli Ki Dost’ on the sets of Jawan

It is a no-brainer that almost everyone in the Hindi film industry desires to work with Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan one day. The 57-year-old has an adorable charm like no other. Even after working in over 90 Bollywood films, he continues to win the hearts of people and his recent film, Pathaan is an example of this fact.

Next up in line are Jawan and Dunki, which will feature Shah Rukh Khan in pivotal roles. While Jawan is slated to be released on September 7 this year, Dunki will be released in December this year.

With Pathaan’s success, it is evident that fans can’t keep calm to watch his next film Jawan at the theatres. One such fan is actress Ridhi Dogra who will also be featuring alongside Shah Rukh Khan for the first time in the movie, Jawan.

Sharing her experience of working on the sets of Jawan, especially along with megastar Shah Rukh Khan, Ridhi expressed to a news portal: “I had a lot of emotions before I shot with Shah Rukh. Because I think Shah Rukh, for me, has been more than just a person. He has been my favourite actor since childhood. I’ve looked up to him, like many others, since the time I was 10. I have learned a lot from him, especially from his interviews.”

“Whenever he (Shah Rukh) used to say, ‘I’m the best’, it used to blow my mind because I really felt that he could actually say that. I could actually feel that emotion,” said the 38-year-old Ridhi Dogra.

Interestingly, “I am the best” is a popular song from the movie, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, featuring Shah Rukh Khan.

Ridhi goes on to add, “Before I met Shah Rukh on the sets of Jawan, I was pinching myself. I wrote so much. I had lots of mixed emotions before I shot with him. I cried, I laughed and then I met him, and he just put me at ease. Then he made me feel like ‘Hum Dilli Ke Dost Hain’ and then we sat down and began our work. I felt very special.”

Jawan is an upcoming action thriller film written and directed by Atlee. It features Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role with a powerful supporting cast consisting of actors namely Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani.

Ridhi Dogra, meanwhile, is in the news as her latest romantic drama series, Badtameez Dil, is now on Amazon miniTV.
