Looks like all is not well for the makers of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan! Earlier, it was announced that both films would be released on April 10, coinciding with the festival of Eid. But now, fresh reports state that Eid will be celebrated on April 11 instead of April 10 due to a shift in moon placements. Following these reports, the makers of high-budget theatricals have decided just now that the April 10’s morning shows of both theatricals stand cancelled. The makers will now feature paid previews starting from 6:00 pm on April 10.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan’s release date postponed?
As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, the movies Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan will not have a full release on April 10 as originally scheduled. Instead, they will only have paid previews on that date, starting from 6:00 pm onwards.
“Just sometime back, we got a message stating that Maidaan’s shows should begin at 6:00 PM on Wednesday. Later, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s makers also made the same request,” said a reliable person to the news outlet on anonymity. Multiplexes will thus refund money to all those who booked the pre-6:00 PM shows of these two films on April 10.
Only time will confirm whether this development is true.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan high-scale promotions
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is a highly anticipated action-thriller movie written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Fans got a glimpse of the movie with the release of the first look poster on January 20, 2024, followed by the teaser on January 24, 2024. A promotional event for the film took place in Lucknow on February 26, 2024, where Kumar and Shroff enthralled the audience with live stunts and interactions. Furthermore, on March 22, 2024, the duo performed live during the 2024 Indian Premier League Opening Ceremony. The trailer launch event was held in Mumbai on March 26, 2024.
Maidaan promotions are creative and unique
Maidaan is an upcoming biographical sports drama film directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. It explores the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, a pioneering football coach in India from 1952 to 1962. Starring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajraj Rao, the film highlights Rahim's inspiring journey. AR Rahman has composed the film's music, with Manoj Muntashir writing the lyrics. The first single, Mirza, was released on March 18, 2024, followed by the second single, Team India Hain Hum, on March 27, 2024.
