Bad Newz box office collection day 3: Bad Newz starring Vicky Kaushal, Tritpii Dimri, and Ammy Virk opened in theatres on July 19 to mixed reviews. The romantic comedy, which is directed by Anand Tiwari continued to stay steady on its opening weekend at the box office. However, the film did not cross the Rs. 30 crore mark over the weekend. Besides the lead cast, the film also has interesting cameos by Ananya Panday and Neha Sharma.

After minting in Rs. 19.17 crore on its first two days, the film has now minted Rs. 11 crore on its third day, Sunday, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.com. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs. 29.55 crore.
Bad Newz now stands at the sixth biggest first weekend earner of 2024 for a Hindi film after Fighter, Shaitaan, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Crew, and Kalki 2898 AD. The film had an overall occupancy of 28.78% in Hindi on Sunday. After performing better at night shows, on Sunday, the film performed well during the afternoon and evening shows compared to night shows. The real test for the film begins today, on Monday as it now enters the weekday.
Bad Newz Plot
The narrative of the film revolves around the rare phenomenon of heteropaternal superfecundation where a same mother can coneive babies of two different fathers. In the film, Tritpii Dimri plays the mother whereas the two fathers are played by Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.
For those who are unaware, Bad Newz is a spiritual sequel to the 2019 comedy film Good Newz starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film, which was a hit amongst the critics as well as audiences was directed by Raj Mehta. Good Newz earned Rs. 205 cr in India and grossed Rs. 316 cr worldwide.
