The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Bad Boyz, have dropped an update on its theatrical release. It has been confirmed that the action comedy drama will hit the big screen on September 13 during the Onam festival. If released on the said date, the movie, which is directed by Omar Lulu, will run in theatres along with Antony Varghese-starrer Kondal.
All about Bad Boyz
In contrast to Omar Lulu's earlier films, this one does not include a lot of fresh actors and has not caused any controversy after it was announced because of its language or subject matter. In this action comedy drama, Rahman portrays the main character, with important roles played by Senthil Krishna, Bibin George, Babu Antony, Sheelu Abraham, and Anson Paul. The recently released teaser and trailer for the film suggest an enjoyable comedy action movie with lots of entertaining moments.
The supporting cast includes Bala, Harisree Ashokan, Ramesh Pisharody, Aju Varghese, Sajin Cherukayil, Sohan Seenulal, Ajay Vasudev, Saiju Kurup, and Tini Tom. In the film, Dhyan Sreenivasan also has a brief cameo as a police officer.
Sarang Jayaprakash has penned Bad Boyz's screenplay and dialogue. Technically speaking, Dilip Dennis is the editor, and Alby has helmed the camera work for the movie. William Francis is the composer of the movie's soundtrack. This Onam, producer Abraham Mathew of Abaam Movies intends to get the movie released in cinemas.
Other Onam releases in 2024
While there are not many highly anticipated Malayalam films scheduled for release this Onam, there are a few intriguing flicks that will be shown on big screens next week. On September 12, the films Ajayante Randam Moshanam, starring Tovino Thomas, and Kishkindha Kaandam, featuring Asif Ali, will premiere in theatres. The very following day will premiere Antony Varghese's action drama, produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters of RDX fame. At the same time, Vijay's The Greatest Of All Time would be showing in cinemas for its second week.
