Will Smith and Martin Lawrence bounced back on the big screen, and luckily, they did not take another decade or more to give us the fourth film in their much-loved franchise, Bad Boys. Bad Boys: Ride Or Die was one of the most anticipated movies across the globe, and the fact that the makers have kept the hunger going by releasing only four films in almost three decades should be called criminal. But Ride Or Die is now in theatres and is busy breaking box office records in the West as we speak. The film takes the story of the two now-aged cops ahead, and that certainly found an audience. However, the mystery surrounding where the movie will stream after its theatrical run has been a topic of interest. It seems we might have decoded that now.
Finding the streaming partners of movies, especially big-budget ones, has become a fun activity for many. This new culture has now touched the Bad Boys franchise as Bad Boys: Ride Or Die is currently on the big screen. According to reports, the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence-led movie will have a rented run on digital VOD sites like Amazon Prime Video and YouTube TV. But what is the final destination of the movie after all of this? Well, we have probably found it. Read on to know everything you should about the same.
Following three previous movies in the franchise, each with digital premieres on various streaming platforms, guessing where the fourth one will go can be challenging. However, what makes it easier is the fact that the movie is backed by Sony, which has a multi-year agreement with the streaming giant Netflix. This means that Ride Or Die will premiere on Netflix before anywhere else. To substantiate this claim, we recently saw the release of Madame Web on the streamer.
However, the bigger question is when to expect the movie on Netflix. Traditionally, there is a six-month window before a film lands on streaming platforms, which means Bad Boys: Ride Or Die would release on Netflix in December 2024. However, this is not a mandate, as the theatrical run mostly decides when movies drop on streaming. For instance, Madame Web was on Netflix three months after its release following an embarrassing theatrical run.
Before Bad Boys: Ride Or Die, there are three films in the franchise: Bad Boys, Bad Boys II, and Bad Boys For Life. All of them are streaming in India on Jio Cinema, YouTube (on rent), Google Play (on rent), and Apple TV (on rent). The latter two (2 & 3) are also available on Zee5 on rent, and you can watch them with your OTTplay Premium subscription.
