Baby out on OTT: Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya’s film is now streaming on aha

Baby, the love triangle starring Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya and Viraj Ashwin in the lead roles, was one of the most significant successes in Telugu cinema this year. The film was directed by Sai Rajesh, who earlier helmed Hrudaya Kaleyam and produced films like Kobbari Matta and the national award-winning romance Colour Photo in 2020.

SKN bankrolled Baby under Mass Movie Makers. Vijai Bulganin’s music, the effective performances, Sai Rajesh’s writing and the technical finesse are believed to be the major highlights of the film. The love triangle ensured massive profits for its makers during its long theatrical run. aha acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of Baby.

After a theatrical run spanning over seven weeks, the streamer decided to premiere the film today (12 hours in advance for aha Gold subscribers). Confirming the news, the platform wrote, “Bangaram em chesthunnav..Cheppu Baby em chaimantav..aha GOLD lo BABY Movie stream avuthundi chuseddam..Watch Now #BabyOnAhaGOLD.”

The film centres on the complex relationship among its protagonists - Anand, Vaishnavi and Viraj. While Anand and Vaishnavi are teenage sweethearts, the latter’s life takes a different turn when she joins an engineering college. From her looks to ideas about love, friendship, social status, Vaishnavi is a new person altogether, something Anand can’t digest well. Where’s their relationship headed?

Nagababu, Lirisha, Kusuma Degalamarri, Sathvik Anand, Babloo, Seetha, Mounika and Keerthana essayed other important roles in the film. M N Bal Reddy is the cinematographer for the romance which was edited by Viplav Nyshadam. Dheeraj Mogilineni co-produced the project whose crew also comprises art director Suresh Bhimigani, executive producer Sathish Dasari.
