Baby on OTT: Makers in plans to remake the youthful drama in Hindi and Tamil, deets inside

Baby is one of the biggest hits in Telugu cinema in recent years. The youthful drama was directed by Sai Rajesh and featured Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in lead roles. SKN produced the film on his Mass Movie Makers banner.

Sai Rajesh narrated the film in such a manner that the sub ject matter of the film became a hot topic of discussion all over. Baby is still playing in a few theatres in Telugu states. Baby was made on a budget of only Rs 9 crores and made close to Rs 95 crore gross at the box office shocking even the trade pundits.

Baby's OTT rights details

Well, the digital rights of the film have been bagged by Aha, the popular Telugu platform. The makers struck a good deal with Aha and were already in the profit zone even before the release of the film. We at OTTplay have already reported that the film started streaming on Aha on August 25, 2023, and has clocked 100 million minutes in just 32 hours. 

Baby's remake news in other languages goes viral

Now that the film is out on OTT, we have come to know that the makers are planning to remake the film in Hindi and Tamil. As the subject matter is relatable to the youth, the makers feel that the film will work in multiple languages.

At this time, it is yet unknown whether the same director will helm the film or directors from different languages will helm the film in Hindi and Tamil respectively. The remake rights of the film have not been sold to date and discussions for the remake are on as of now. 

Baby is about a middle-class girl who dates two guys at the same time. Vaishnavi Chaitanya, the female lead has given an award-winning performance in the film which shocked one and all.
