Baby John trailer: Salman Khan's cameo as Varun Dhawan's ‘partner-in-crime’ steals the show

The trailer of Varun Dhawan's Baby John is finally here, but there's something else that has caught people's eye. It is superstar Salman Khan's cameo in the film. The same made it to the promo release and has become the highlight of the Baby John trailer.

Salman Khan almost reminded people of his Tiger avatar in the Baby John trailer. In the three-minute trailer, the superstar appears towards the end and steals the limelight. One of the criminals he is fighting opposite cuts the cloth covering his eye. Thus, we are introduced to Salman's eyes before he appears himself. This will instantly take you back to his Tiger avatar (where he is almost always covered). Here, in Baby John, though, Salman plays Varun's partner-in-crime. They fight side-by-side with what appears to be Jackie Shroff's gang in the film.

About Salman Khan’s role in Baby John

Touted to be the remake of Atlee’s Tamil film Their, Baby John was reported to feature Salman Khan in the cameo appearance of a senior officer. He has replaced Prabhu Deva from the original movie. Also, good news for Salman Khan fans, since the action will not end there. Salman Khan will be seen in more action sequences throughout Baby John. A mentor to Varun Dhawan’s John, Salman’s character is the one who brings him back to the police force, especially after the safety of John’s daughter is threatened. The actor had shot for the sequences back in October.

Salman Khan's second cameo appearance in Varun Dhawan's film since Judwaa 2

Salman Khan and Varun Dhawan share a close bond. Back when Varun was working on the Judwaa sequel, a David Dhawan film that originally featured Salman Khan, the superstar also made an appearance in Judwaa 2. The movie featured Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez as the female leads.
