Baby Girl: Traffic trio returns with Kunchacko Boban-starrer, Marco villain too roped in

With the 2011 film traffic, Bobby and Sanjay scripted a new chapter in Malayalam with its gripping multi-linear narrative. Now, the formidable screenwriter duo of Bobby and Sanjay are reuniting with their Traffic star Kunchacko Boban for a film, titled Baby Girl. Listin Stephen, who had earlier produced the 2011 film, is also backing Baby Girl, marking a terrific return of the Traffic trio! The movie will also see Marco villain Abhimanyu Thilakan in a key role.

Kunchacko Boban's Baby Girl announced

Kunchacko Boban will headline Babygirl, which will be directed by Arun Varma who had previously helmed Garudan starring Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon. Bobby and Sanjay, known for movies such as How Old Are You and Mumbai Police, will be scripting Baby Girl.

While making the announcement of the movie on social media pages, the makers shared an intriguing poster of Baby Girl with the promise of ‘a cinematic thriller masterpiece’.

Baby Girl Cast

The film has a robust cast of Kunchacko Boban, Lijomol Jose, Sangeeth Prathap and Abhimanyu Thilakan. Another interesting factor is that Baby Girl will be the second film of Abhimanyu Thilakan, who made a shocking debut as a blood-thirsty villain in Unni Mukundan’s Marco. The young actor literally painted the town red with his bloody action in Marco, ensuring that the Haneef Adeni directorial lived up to the makers’ claim that it is the most violent film from Malayalam.

Baby Girl is Production No 36 of Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames. The filming is scheduled to begin soon.

Kunchacko Boban’s upcoming film

Meanwhile, Kunchacko Boban has another film, set for release in 2025. Titled Officer On Duty, the film features Kunchacko Boban and Priyamani in the lead roles. The upcoming Malayalam movie, touted to be a cop film, will be directed by Jithu Ashraf.
