Baby, marking the return of Hrudaya Kaleyam maker Sai Rajesh, will be releasing amidst immense expectations the coming Friday. Starring Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, the romance drama is produced by SKN and has a memorable album by Vijai Bulganin. With the trailer launch, the film’s promotional campaign kickstarted yesterday, where the director Sai Rajesh expressed his gratitude to the producer for trusting his potential.

“I am not tensed because I know I have made a good film. With all my three films, I was anxious before the release but not in this case. After watching the first copy, Maruthi, Allu Aravind and Bunny Vaas were surprised I could make a film with such good writing and emotional depth; my wife didn’t know I could tell such a story. Many praised the film after watching it, but only one person believed in it from the beginning, my producer SKN,” the filmmaker shared.

Hrudaya Kaleyam was my first film, it’s a comedy but I’ll always be proud of it, he said. “It requires guts to produce a Rs 10-12 crore budget film with such a director and believe in it for a span of three years. SKN could’ve lost everything with this, but he backed me completely. I hope I’ve done justice to his trust. I think I’ve given him a respectable film. This happened because the producer is a friend first and cared to listen to my story,” he added.

Give directors a chance to tell their story and then make a judgement if he did a good job of it and arrive at a decision, Sai Rajesh told. “My producer didn’t even come to set everyday and went on telling people that he’s coming up with a blockbuster.” Thanking the chief guest Vamshi Paidipally, he said the Maharshi director was the first person in the industry to watch Colour Photo and that he would never forget the words Vamshi told him when it won a National Award.
