After her second child, Subhashree Ganguly is all set to make her comeback in Raj Chakraborty’s Babli with Abir Chatterjee. The film’s first poster is dropped. Based on the novel by Buddhadeb Guha, the film also features Sauraseni Maitra.

The poster shows a jeep standing on a mountainous road. Abir Chatterjee and Subhasree Ganguly stand there holding hands. Their faces are not seen. Abir wears a jacket and pants and Subhasree wears a skirt, top, and a hairband. They face the hills where a train is going.

The film’s teaser will be coming soon. It will be released on the Bengali New Year. Both Abir and Subhasree shared the poster on social media and wrote, “A new journey in the new year…Babli’s teaser comes on Poila Baisakh.”

The poster has been praised, but some people asked why Babli did not wear a saree in the poster. A person wrote, “Buddhadeb Guha’s Babli wears sarees. It would be good if we saw her in a saree here.” Another person echoed this opinion. A third one wrote, “Uff! Waiting eagerly for the film.”

Besides Babli, Raj finished the shooting of his new film with Mithun Chakraborty and Ritwik Chakraborty. It tells the story of a father and his son. Subhasree Ganguly will play a special role here. On the other hand, Subhsaree is working on Debaloy Bhattacharya’s new horror film Aleya.

The film Alaap, starring Abir and Mimi Chakraborty, waits to be released. It will hit the theatre on May 10. Directed by Premendu Bikash Chaki, the film also features Swastika Dutta. Abir will also be in the film Bohurupee by Windows Production. However, the film’s shooting was stopped as director-actor Shiboprosad Mukherjee sustained a back injury while shooting.
