The whole nation received shocking news on October 12 as the former MLA, senior NCP leader, and Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was shot dead by three assailants. The incident took place outside his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra. He was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital but was declared dead. After the news broke, Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, and others were seen visiting the hospital. Now, several celebrities took to their social media accounts and mourned the loss of Baba Siddique.

Celebs mourn loss of Baba Siddique

Taking to her X account, Preity Zinta wrote, "Completely shocked & saddened to hear about the tragic demise of Baba Sidddique Ji. My heart felt condolence to @zeeshan_iyc & his entire family. May god give peace to his soul & strength to his family in this difficult time. The perpetrators of this horrific crime must be punished severly & swiftly. #RIP #BabaSiddique"

Riteish Deshmukh expressed his grief and wrote on X, "Extremely saddened and shocked beyond words to learn about the tragic demise of Shri #BabaSiddique ji - My heart goes out to @zeeshan_iyc and the entire family- May god give them strength to brave this difficult time. The perpetrators of this horrific crime must be brought to justice."

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh also mourned the great loss and penned on his X account, "Shocked and deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Baba Siddique. A true leader who worked tirelessly for the people, his sincerity and large-heartedness will be remembered by all who knew him. My condolences to his family during this incredibly difficult time. May his soul find eternal peace."

On the other hand, Pooja Bhatt said that she was devastated by the news of Baba Siddique's passing. More so by how his life was taken. "Have known him since a teenager.This is a blow to those who knew him beyond the public figure & politician he was. May his death not be in vain. Law & order must prevail," her X post read. 

Apart from them, Bipasha Basu shared a story on her Instagram and wrote, "Strength to the family."

Saqib Saleem was heartbroken after receiving the news as his post read, "Heartbreaking to read about Baba Siddique's demise. My interactions with him were always filled with warmth and love. May his soul rest in peace. Strength and prayers to the whole family in these tough times. Praying for justice. The people who were behind this should not be spared (sic)."

Salman Khan arrives at Baba Siddique's home to offer condolences

A while ago, Salman Khan was seen arriving at Baba Siddique's house in his car surrounded by tight security to offer condolences ahead of the late politician's funeral. His other family members were also seen reaching the house. 

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police confirmed that the murder of the former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was a contract killing incident. Two accused - Gurmail Baljit Singh, 23, from Haryana, and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap, 19, from Uttar Pradesh, have been arrested while the third one - Shiv Kumar from UP is trying to avoid being captured.
