It's been three decades since Bollywood got one of its most iconic couples, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. 30 years ago, the first outing of the duo, Baazigar, was released on the big screen. Since then, SRK and Kajol have become hot favourites among fans, and they still are. On the occasion of 30 years of Baazigar, the leading lady shared stills from the film featuring Shah Rukh. Along with that, Kajol penned a heartfelt note.

Kajol's heartfelt reflection on 30 years of Baazigar

It read, "Baazigar completes 30 years. This set was a whole lot of firsts. The first time I worked with Saroj Ji was the first time I met @iamsrk. The first time I met @anumalikmusic... and me all of 17 when I started the film... Abbas bhai and Mustan bhai actually treated me with all the indulgence of a favourite child. And how can I forget @therealxt, @iam_johnylever, and @theshilpashetty? So many good memories and unstoppable laughter... To this day, every song and dialogue brings a huge smile to my face. Just because... #30yearsofbaazigar."

A journey through time

SRK and Kajol have featured in many films together where they were romantically paired opposite each other. These films include Baazigar (1993), Karan Arjun (1995), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name is Khan (2010), and Dilwale (2015).

Kajol on her friendship with SRK

Earlier this year, when Kajol was asked about her friendship with SRK, the actor told Mashable India, "I know for a fact that if I ever had to call him up at 3 o’clock in the morning, he would pick up my phone, and he knows vice versa... (but) No, I do not message him every day ‘Good morning there’ and send him a flower photograph. I think he’d stab me with a nice fork if I ever tried it."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol made her web series debut with The Trial, which premiered on Disney+ Hotstar this year.
