Azaad trailer OUT: Ajay Devgn is trained in making his beautiful black horse a BFF in rebellion, but will Aaman succeed?

Ajay Devgn, who is backing his nephew Aaman Devgan in his debut film Azaad, has released the trailer of the movie. Azaad is based on a beautiful black horse, who deserves to get befriended. The story explores how one might be able to establish a bond with the beautiful creature that feels and can be the most loyal friend to have, probably more than a dog and elephant. The trailer introduces Azaad at the very beginning. The focus is on the black horse, who runs wild with a sword in his sack.

The horse belongs to Vikram Singh, a character played by Ajay Devgn. As he makes an entry on Azaad, Vikram has a dialogue on guns. He plays a dacoit in the film, a legacy that will be carried forward by his nephew Aaman's character.

Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan

Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani also marks her debut with Azaad. She is introduced in a Holi scene with Aaman, and he eventually greets her with, "Kya zabardast hai yaar," while she rides a horse, only to receive the tag of 'stable boy' in return. As expected, he calls himself an 'unstable boy' instead.

The tale of Azaad

Aaman's character struggles with Azaad. He tries to build a bond with Azaad, thinking it can happen in exchange for food. However, Azaad needs much more than that. He wishes to feel compassion. Thus, only when the moment strikes, Azaad shows his loyalty. Unfortunately for him, he upsets Azaad anyway after seeing a new brown horse and naming him Chetak.

The story is set during the British era when the public demanded for colonization to end. Ajay Devgn's character sets off on a rebellious mission - to stop them.

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Azaad also stars Diana Penty and Mohit Malik in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on January 17.
