Taking into consideration his contribution to the field of entertainment, the prestigious ‘TIME’ magazine has now chosen him to be the prod recipient of ‘Time 100 Impact Awards’. The ‘Time’ magazine had mentioned acknowledged in its citation that ‘Ayushmann Khurrana Is a Bollywood Star Like No Other’.

What made the exemplary Ayushmann Khurrana stand out at the prestigious awards function was his speech, which made almost everyone emotional. The ‘Dream Girl 2’ actor said that, “I would like to recite one of the verses from our Indian/Hindu scripture and guide… ‘The Bhagavat Gita’…. Karmanye vadhikaraste, Ma Phaleshu Kadachana, Ma Karmaphalahetur bhurma, Te Sango Stvakarmani.” The actor also explained the meaning of the divine verse by saying that the said verse encapsulates the essence of selfless action. It emphasises to be process oriented than result oriented. It trains you to be detached from the fruits of your labour.”
He also made it a point to thank TIME magazine for this honour by saying that it was a humbling moment for him to be recognised as an artiste by the prestigious TIME Magazine and that he was there to represent India’s moment under the sun. The actor added that he was proud of the fact that India was becoming a fulcrum of progressive story telling through cinema.

In addition to that, he also spoke about his tryst with being a street actor. The actor recalled, “I was very active as a street theatre actor. What exactly is street theatre? It’s a very unique format of theatre, where actors in a group form a circle at a public place, call people to watch the act. And the act encapsulates the social fabric of our country. It’s either a satire or a firm call for social change.”
