Ayothi on Zee5: Rajinikanth appreciates Sasikumar's latest film, congratulates team for its success

Sasikumar's Ayothi, which hit the screens on March 3 without any publicity, left many surprised when it gained momentum after a few days of its release. The film started attracting the crowd, thanks to positive word of mouth. Debutant Manthira Moorthy has directed the movie which was supposed to drop online on March 31.

However, makers pushed its digital premiere by a week owing to good response from moviegoers. The project finally released on Zee5 on April 7 and opened to fantastic reviews from several film buffs as expected. A few have been regretting their decision to watch it on OTT while there are others who expressed happiness for having enjoyed it on the big screen.

What has now stunned the team is the appreciation from Rajinikanth; the Superstar, who never misses a chance to shower praises on movies which leave him impressed, has done it again. He has taken to his Twitter page to say that he is elated witnessing his friend Sasikumar enjoying the success of a film after a while.

He went gaga over director Moorthy and said that the latter proved his mettle in the debut attempt. The Jailer star also heaped praises on the movie's producer.

An excited Sasikumar thanked Rajini for his gesture and said that he is overwhelmed over the latter addressing him as a friend in his tweet. He added that the appreciation will be a huge inspiration for all crew members who worked for the movie.

Filmmaker Moorthy, who is yet to come to terms with the surprise appreciation, tweeted that positive words from Rajinikanth is equal to all accolades from the world coming together.
