The release of Ayngaran which was completed a few years ago was postponed multiple times. The GV Prakash-starrer was supposed to hit the screens on May 5, but the makers had to push the release again due to reasons best known to them. Finally, Dhanush announced a few days ago that the long-delayed project will be out on May 12.
The team has now unveiled a sneak peek which showcases a crucial scene from the thriller flick. It begins with a few cops checking on two-wheeler riders on a rainy night. A group of ill-intentioned people who are traveling in a SUV take a right turn as soon as they see the cops.
Quite unexpectedly, the upper body of the vehicle gets stuck on the subway. GV Prakash and Kaali Venkat, who enter the subway in a two-wheeler, stop there and enquire about their problem. The former, who plays an engineer in the film, deflates the vehicle's tyres, after which the upper body of the SUV contracts automatically.
They thank GV Prakash for his timely response and start traveling towards Namakkal. While talking to GV, Kaali expresses doubt on whether the group of mysterious men in the car were boxers as he saw boxing punching bags in the vehicle. The scene abruptly ends, leaving the audience curious.
Mahima Nambiar plays the female lead in the movie directed by Ravi Arasu. Arul Dass, Aadukalam Naren, Hareesh Peradi, Abishek, Irene and Siddharth essay important characters in the project which has music composed by GV himself.
Raja Mohammed has edited Ayngaran which has cinematography by Saravanan Abimanyu. Bankrolled by B Ganesh under the banner of Common Man, Ayngaran was announced in 2016. It is GV Prakash's second movie to release this year after Selfie (streaming on aha Tamil).
