Ayngaran release date: When and where to watch this GV Prakash-starrer action film online

Ayngaran, which has been lying in the cans for a long time, finally hit screens on May 12. The Ravi Arasu directorial has Mahima Nambiar playing the female lead while Kaali Venkat, Aruldoss, Aadukalam Naren and Hareesh Peradi among others essay crucial characters in it.

B Ganesh has bankrolled the film under the banner of Common Man while Saravanan Abimanyu and Raja Mohammed have handled cinematography and editing for the movie respectively.

What's Ayngaran about?

The action film revolves around a talented engineer who locks horns with a group of gangsters. How he faces them and gets mired in several unexpected issues forms the crux of the story.

Though Ravi was on the lookout for a few other actors, he finally zeroed in on GV Prakash to play the protagonist of the movie. GV Prakash himself has composed music for the project.  

Why was Ayngran postponed multiple times?

The film which was announced in 2016 was completed in 2017. Though the makers came up with many release dates, they couldn't release the film in theatres owing to financial issues. Last year, there were reports that the movie might have a direct OTT release.

The team announced May 5 as its final release a month ago, but it took one more week for them to bring the film to the screens.  

When and where to watch Ayngaran online?

The project is dropping on June 10 on aha Tamil. The digital platform had bagged the digital rights earlier; an official announcement has been made by aha's social media page now.

Upon release, the film opened to mixed reviews and received lukewarm response from the audience. GV's previous outing, Selfie, too, had its OTT release on aha Tamil before a month of its theatrical release.
