Ayalaan, the highly anticipated project which features Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, is gearing up for its grand theatrical release on January 12, 2024. The project, which is helmed by Ravikumar R, is finally hitting the theatres after the multiple delays caused by the pandemic and long post-production schedules. Ahead of the release, the makers of Ayalaan dropped the promising official trailer of the film on social media, today. The fun-filled trailer hints that a unique cinematic experience is in store for the audiences, this Pongal.

Ayalaan trailer review

The promising trailer of Ayalaan begins with the introduction of the leading man Sivakarthikeyan, who is playing a smalltown-based young man. He follows his father’s ideologies and believes that the earth is not just for the humans. At the same time, we are also introduced to the antagonist, played by Sharad Kelkar, who talks about the most powerful element on earth. Meanwhile, an Alien (voice by actor Siddharth) who is on a mission, lands on earth. The leading man comes across the Alien, and the duo eventually join hands for an important mission to save the planet.

Well, the Ayalaan trailer hints that the movie is going to be a thoroughly entertaining watch for Tamil cinema audiences, who are new to this genre. Sivakarthikeyan brings his signature boy-next-door charm to the screens, while also eventually transforming as an action star. The decision to rope in Siddharth to lend voice to the character of Alien is clearly a brilliant creative choice. The exchanges between the duo in the trailer are quite entertaining.

However, from the trailer, it seems like Ayalaan might have fallen into quite a few age-old tropes, including an insignificant female lead and a cliched antagonist. When it comes to the technical aspects, AR Rahman’s background music in the trailer hints that the Sivakarthikeyan starrer is going to have a fun music album. The cinematography of Nirav Shah and the decent VFX suggest that Ayalaan is going to be an excellent cinematic experience for the audiences.
