The first season of Avrodh: The Siege Within started streaming a few years ago, and was able to generally please its viewers. As the show’s second season is days away from its release, actor Rajesh Khattar has now opened up about his role in the series and the challenges he faced while playing it.
Talking to TellyChakkar, Khattar revealed that he will be playing a Pakistani Army Chief and said that while he cannot reveal much about the role, he will be an intriguing and complex character with many layers. He also added that fans will get to see him in a completely different avatar.
The actor also talked about the challenges he faced while essaying the role, saying that while he plays a Pakistani Chief, he had to believe that whatever his character was doing was right and so his approach was also the same.
The actor also pointed out that while the first season of Avrodh was based on the URI attack and the subsequent surgical strike, the second season is about the demonetisation and how the neighbouring country is trying to attack India’s economy.
The makers of the show released a trailer for it earlier this month, and it hits at a show that will try and follow the lines of the first season in terms of storytelling. Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Juggernaut Productions, the second season is directed by Raj Acharya.
Also starring Abir Chaterjee, Aahana Kumra, Anant Mahadevan, Krishna Hebbale, Mohan Agashe, Neeraj Kabi, Rajesh Khattar, Sanjay Suri, and Vijay Krishnan, Avrodh Season 2 is set to start streaming on SonyLIV from June 24.
