Avijit Sen opens up about his dream of making a Hindi film

It was a rumor that suddenly took hit director Avijit Sen by surprise. It was speculated if the Pradhan director would debut in the South Indian film industry. It was also rumored that he would make a series in Tamil and Telugu. Is it true? The director clarified, “I just made three Bangla films. Shall I leave Bengal so soon?” 

Teamed up with Dev and producer Atanu Roy Choudhury, Avijit delivered a number of hit films. His film Projapati was a blockbuster. Avijit created a buzz by bringing Mithun Chakraborty and Dev in a frame with his father-son saga. Then why this rumor of his leaving Bengali films? Avijit said, “I don't know why. I never said anything like that. I am in Bengal and will make Bengali films.” 

Avijit rather shared one of his secret dreams. Jokingly, he said, “Rather than Tamil or Telugu, I dream of making a Hindi film where Dev will play the lead and Atanu Roy Choudhury will be the producer.” However, Avijit Sen is now busy directing the popular musical reality show on television.

Meanwhile, the trio of Dev, Avijit and Atanu is back with a brand new film for this Christmas. According to sources, Mithun will team up with Dev once again for this film. Furthermore, Mamata Shankar will be a part of the film. After the success of Projapoti, Mamata Shankar and Mithun will be back again. Besides, talks are on with Paran Bandyopadhyay who may also be a part of the project. The actress opposite Dev is yet to be revealed. The name of the film will be unveiled by the first week of July.
